Yorkshire Energy Background Information
Yorkshire Energy was launched in May 2018. Based in the centre of Leeds, they are a small energy supplier who offer both a Yorkshire Energy Fixed tariff and Standard Variable Tariff for gas and electricity. Competitive prices are made possible due to their energy pricing analysts reviewing the markets daily and keeping overheads low.
Their electricity is 100% renewable and they have a UK based customer support team. Their tariffs are very competitively priced, and they don’t currently charge an exit fee.
Yorkshire Energy Smart Meters
Yorkshire Energy do not currently offer smart meters. Keep an eye out for smart meters in the future though.
If you already have a smart meter, you can still join Yorkshire Energy although your smart meter may lose its smart functionality.
Other Yorkshire Energy Meters
Yorkshire Energy do not currently accept prepayment meters. Standard and economy 7 meters are accepted.
Yorkshire Energy can check your meter details from your address though and will contact you if there’s a problem, so there’s no need to worry if you’re unsure if your meter is compatible.

Yorkshire Energy email bills to their customers and collect payment via monthly direct debit . Meter reads are submitted through an online portal or via email. This ensures they can keep prices low.
