Affect Energy Background Information
Affect Energy are a South Coast based energy supplier who supplies gas and electricity to UK homes and businesses. They operate two simple tariffs that cater for both standard credit meter customers and Economy 7 users.
They keep their costs low through deploying technology to increase their efficiency and as such do the majority of their transactions online and payments are largely by direct debit.
Affect Energy believe in putting people first, try to keep things real by minimising jargon, and will innovate to offer the best service possible.
Affect Energy Smart Meter
Affect Energy currently accept customers who have second generation onwards smart meters. They will start their own rollout of smart meters to their customers in 2018.
Other Affect Energy Meters
Affect Energy currently do not support prepayment meters but do offer tariffs to Economy 7 users.
Affect Energy Bills
Direct debit is Affect Energy’s primary payment method but payments can be made through online banking. If your account is managed online then a monthly statement will be sent each month.

Switching To Affect Energy
If you want to switch to Affect Energy you will need to do this online as they do not offer switching over the phone. You will need to complete a quote first and then proceed with the switch. They aim to switch the account within 17 days.
Moving Home With Affect Energy
If you move home whilst supplied by Affect Energy you need to contact them once you have moved. Take meters reads when you leave your current home and when you move into your new home. You will need to inform the current supplier of your new home of your details and starting meter readings as you will need to pay them for the period up until you are switched over to Affect Energy.

Affect Energy Feed-in Tariff
Affect Energy is a voluntary Feed-in Tariff (FIT) licensee.
