SSE Business Electricity Tariffs
- Online quotes are available for customers whose meters are non-half-hourly profile class 01 to 04
- All other business customers including half-hourly need to call their sales team on 0800 389 4466 to discuss their energy requirements and get a tailored quote.
- Fixed term contracts are available for 1-4 years
- Prices vary based on your location and consumption

SSE Business Smart Meters
SSE will be installing smart meters to business customers in late 2018. These will be SMETS2 type meters and they will be installed free of charge.
SSE Business Meter Readings
SSE reads most of their customers’ meters every six months. You can also submit your meter readings online using their form.
SSE Business Bills
SSE has guides to help you understand your gas and electricity statement and invoice. They issue bills quarterly which will commence three months after your supply starts with them.
SSE Business App
SSE currently does not have an app for its business customers.
Switching Your Business Energy To SSE
If you want to switch to SSE you need to get in touch with them on 0345 026 4565 to discuss your options and agree to a contract. They will then contact your existing supplier to arrange the switch. On the last day with your current supplier, you will need to provide your meter readings.
Moving Business Premises With SSE
If you are moving premises whilst with SSE you will need to let them know prior to moving and give them the details about your move and to supply your final meter readings. You can also switch your new premises to them.
If you move into a premise supplied by SSE you will need to contact them to set up your supply with them.

SSE Business Complaints
If you need to make a complaint to SSE contact:

They aim to resolve the complaint on the first contact but if they can not they will aim to resolve it by 8pm the following working day. If it is not resolved within five working days, you can escalate it to the Complaints Management Team who will do an independent review within five working days.
If your business is a microbusiness or SME you can contact the Energy Ombudsman after eight weeks to review your complaint.
