Shell is active in all of Europe’s main energy markets, and now have 1000 business customers. They trade and market gas, power, oil, coal and CO2, and control everything from energy production to storage, sales and customer service.
Their history in the energy market goes back to 1959 when they discovered the Dutch Groningen gas field. In 2003, they became the first in the European market to trade EU CO2 allowances.
