Scottish Power has two business offerings – small businesses and commercial energy.
Small businesses
- Quotes are available by calling 0800 22 44 00, Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday 9am-1pm, or through the online quote tool
- Online account to manage bills, enter meter readings, manage consumption and payments which can be accessed on your desktop or mobile phone app
- Switch to a smart meter
- Energy efficiency advice
- Business Fixed – variable length contract for 1-3 years on a fixed rate, rates not published
- Standard Fixed – out of contract tariff with fixed prices for a year with no exit fees, rates not published
- Standard Variable – prices are variable with no contract and exit fees. Current rates based on a London address are standard meter 12.54 p/kWh + 27 p/day standing charge. Economy 7 day unit rate 15.57 p/kWh, night unit rate 11.77 p/kWh + 37 p/day standing charge. Evening and weekend day unit rate 16.23 p/kWh, evening and weekend unit rate 12.86 p/kWh + 27 p/day standing charge. Off-peak unit rate 13.53 p/kWh + 17 p/day standing charge.

Switching Your Business Energy To Scottish Power
Switching to Scottish Power can take four to six weeks and the process you will go through is:
- Complete an application which they will check
- They send a transfer request to your current supplier
- They set-up your account and request opening meter readings
- Switch complete
Moving Business Premises With Scottish Power
If you move premises whilst Scottish Power is your energy provider you need to contact them with your final meter readings for all your meters so that they can finalise your accounts for the property.
When you move into new premises register your details with them as soon as possible, check how many meters are in the property, and ascertain who the current supplier is. This will prevent you from being placed on an expensive temporary tariff for too long.

Small businesses
To make a complaint to Scottish Power contact 0800 040 7002 and ask for the Customer Care Team. Small business customers can seek independent advice from the Citizens Advice.
If you are microbusiness and your complaint is not resolved within eight weeks you can contact the Energy Ombudsman to review the complaint.
Commercial energy
