Customer reviews on Trustpilot are rated 85% excellent with only 3% poor or bad scores. The feedback is very positive with comments including ease of switching, user-friendly app, low-cost green energy, good customer service, and a useful WattBot to answer questions without using a call centre.

Pure Planet Background Information
Pure Planet is a Bath based energy supplier who uses their app to control all communications with their customers and to handle all queries alongside their online community.
They are billed as a digital renewable energy supplier because of their app delivery and that all energy is 100% renewable electricity and their gas is carbon offset.
The founders of Pure Planet are the four big names that were behind the launch of the mobile phone companies Virgin Mobile, Orange, T-Mobile, and EE, and these are Andrew Ralston, Steven Day, Chris Alliott, and Tom Alexander.
They established Pure Planet in order to deliver a modern, digital, renewable energy supplier that offered value for money which started in May 2017.
Pure Planet joined forces with BP to set up the company. BP helped to finance the company, and currently own 24% in a non-controlling capacity.

Pure Planet plans to start installing smart meters from 2018.
Other Pure Planet Meters
Pure Planet currently does not support prepayment meters.
They can supply Economy 7 meters but will supply them at a single rate and they would need to send meter readings via email until the app is updated to include Economy 7 meters.
Pure Planet is also unable to support the Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) at the moment.
Pure Planet Bills
The Pure Planet app sends its customers reminders to submit monthly meter readings from which it calculates its bills each month. All bill information and meter readings are handled within the app but users will receive email alerts.
All customers are set up on monthly direct debit payment plans.

Pure Planet app is available to download in iTunes and Google Play stores where you can get a quote to switch suppliers and carry out the switch, utilise their WattBot for any service requests, submit meter readings, chat with the online community, and see sustainability issues.
Google Play reviews rated the app 4.6 out of 5 based on 20 reviews and comments are largely positive with the app being easy to use. The only issue raised was not about the app but because they couldn’t get hold of a person to discuss an issue with.
Switching To Pure Planet
If you want to switch to Pure Planet you need to first get a quote on their website or mobile app by entering a few details about your property and energy usage. Once you have the quote and you are happy with the charges you can select switch and enter further personal details before Pure Planet will take over and switch your supply to them within 17 days.
If you haven’t already downloaded their app you should then do that and link your account by your email address. You will receive regular email updates on the progress.
Moving Home With Pure Planet
If you want to move home with Pure Planet you will need to contact them through WattBot via ‘help’ in the app and type ‘moving home’, after which you will be asked to provide details about your move include moving date, meter readings, and new address.
