People’s Energy Business Energy
People’s Energy will accept small businesses that have standard hourly meters, they are unable to support businesses that use half hourly meter readings.
People’s Energy Background Information
People’s Energy received its licence to operate as an energy supply in May 2017, later in August 2017 they started to supply energy to customers after receiving almost £500,000 in crowdfunding to get the company established in the energy market.
Those funding the company through crowdfunding will receive their funding back plus an additional amount of energy bill reductions.
People’s Energy was set up in order to create a fair and honest energy company that would share 75% of its profits with its customers in the form of a rebate. They are also offering loyal customers shares in the company. They predict that they will be able to offer the profit share in 2020 when the company hopefully should start turning a profit.
They supply 100% renewable electricity and are working towards securing green gas.

Sept 2017, The Guardian, a profile on the new energy company, People’s Energy, who will give profits back to customers. The company started supplying energy at the end of August after crowdfunding nearly £500,000 to get the company set up. They aim to redistribute 75% of their profits as an annual rebate.
May 2017, Express, People’s Energy received its Ofgem licence to commence trading. They aim to give customers control of their gas and electricity by giving customers 75% of its profits and free shares.
